Terms & Conditions 

Please read these terms carefully before renting a vehicle from

Galatians Car Hire.

By renting, you agree to comply with the following conditions:

Rental Duration and Charges

Rental Period:

Rental rates apply per 24-hour period. Vehicles must be returned to the agreed location on time to avoid extra charges. Early returns do not qualify for refunds.  Minimum of 3 day rentals only!

Modifications:

To change your rental agreement, notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Changes within this period incur an administration fee of NAD 100. Unnotified additional days will be charged at double the daily rate.

Fuel and Additional Charges

Fuel Policy:

Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup. Fuel discrepancies will be charged accordingly.

Traffic Fines:

Renters are responsible for all fines, tolls, and penalties during the rental period plus NAD 100 administration fee per violation.

Lost Keys:

Lost keys incur replacement costs, plus renter is liable for all charges (daily fees, tolls, additional driver fees, cleaning).

 Liability and Insurance Coverage

Included Insurance:

Rental fees include comprehensive insurance covering standard vehicle damage, theft, and third-party liability, subject to terms detailed in the insurance policy provided at rental.

Exclusions:

Renter is liable for damage caused by misuse, negligence, driving under influence, off-road use not authorized, collisions from reversing, overhead/undercarriage impacts, water or hail damage, or damage by unauthorized drivers.  Renter is responsible for tire and windscreen damage costs.

Repair Costs:

All repairs for excluded damage or incidents involving unauthorized drivers are at renter’s expense.

Vehicle Use and Driver Requirements

Only the renter or authorized drivers (spouse, domestic partner, employees with prior consent) aged 25 or older with valid, unaltered licenses may drive. License verification is mandatory.

The vehicle must be operated following all traffic laws, safety practices (e.g., seat belts, child seats), and usage guidelines, including smoking prohibition.

Daily odometer limit is 1000 km; excess distance charged at NAD 5.00 per km. Cross-border travel excess km fees at N$10.00 per km.

Returning the Vehicle

Vehicles must be returned on time, in original condition, and to the designated location. Late returns incur double daily rate fines and recovery costs if third parties are involved.

Vehicles to be returned cleaned to Galatians Car Hire as per original state it was rented out, but excessively dirty vehicles (mud, sand, dust, soiled upholstery) will incur a cleaning fee of NAD 1800, payable upon return.

Prohibited Uses

Vehicles cannot be used by unauthorized drivers, for hire or commercial purposes without permission, illegal activities, or under influence of substances. Violation leads to immediate rental termination and penalties up to full insurance value.

Accidents and Reporting

Any accident or damage must be reported immediately. The renter is responsible for all associated losses and must cooperate fully with investigations.

Dispute Resolution and Default

Failure to pay within 30 days after due date is a default, allowing Galatians Car Hire to pursue legal remedies including court claims and debt collection.

Renters may settle dues to avoid further action. Non-compliance may result in legal consequences including adverse credit reporting.

Miscellaneous

Renters must comply with all Namibian laws and provide accurate contact information.

The Renter agrees and consents that all personal information provided to Galatians Car Hire may be collected, used, processed, and stored by Galatians Car Hire for the purposes of rental administration, customer service, marketing, and compliance with legal obligations, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
